Choose your smoothie combinations. Wash, peel, and cut all fruits and vegetables into blender-friendly pieces. Measure portions into individual bags.
For each smoothie pack: place one serving of combined ingredients into a quart-sized freezer bag. A typical pack might include 1 cup frozen fruit (berries, mango, banana slices), ½ cup frozen greens (spinach, kale), and optional add-ins (a tablespoon of chia seeds, flax, or nut butter). Press out air and seal.
When ready to blend: dump the contents of one bag into a blender, add your liquid (milk, juice, yogurt, water — about 1 cup), and blend until smooth. Total time from freezer to glass: about 2 minutes.
For a more streamlined approach, lay bags flat in the freezer so they stack neatly. Label each bag with the flavor combination and date.
3 to 6 months.
No thawing needed — blend directly from frozen.
